Clear garnet still in its youth. Racy nose of ripe stone fruits with fine roasted coffee, mild spices and creme brulee. Vigorous palate leaving an ethereal impression. Splendid sanguine spice intensity and a hint of firmness still. Great persistency. Marvellous.
Chianti Classico Riserva Lodolaio 2011: 94 points! GOLD
Beautiful intense garnet. Endearing nose of sour cherry with a touch of coffee, refined spice and vegetal notes backed by exotic wood. Rich, fleshy palate displaying great elegance and very silky supporting tannins. A top quality Riserva. Keep.
Chianti Classico Capotondo 2013: 90 points!
Deep garnet. Subdued nose of stone fruits with some spice. Suave attack leading into a full, velvety, rich palate showing superb proportions supported by a robust structure. Convincing classicism. Leave to mature in peace.
